Picture this: you step into a speakeasy-themed A-frame in the Poconos, and the outside world disappears. 5 bedrooms of curated character, a secret room, a full wet bar, & a private hot tub in the pines. The Space
The Gin Joint is a three-floor 1920s speakeasy-themed A-frame in Lake Harmony Estates, PA. Vaulted wood-plank ceilings, a gas fireplace, and forest-facing windows define the main living room. The fully equipped kitchen has a geometric tiled island with bar seating for 4, stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, and pendant dome lights. The dining room seats 8 at a round table with lazy Susan and banquette seating — perfect for long group dinners. A breakfast nook seats 6 more. The basement is the highlight. A full wet bar with 5 stools, mirrored back bar, and wine glass rack sets the scene. Play pool on the ornate carved pool table. A stone arched fireplace warms the lounge area with leather sofas, a teal velvet couch, and TV. The secret bookcase door — opening to a library lounge with a neon sign — delights every group who discovers it.
Sleeping
Bedroom 1 (full bunk), Bedroom 2 (king), Bedroom 3 (twin bunk), Bedroom 4 (queen), Bedroom 5 attic loft (two beds, painted geometric ceiling mural, mini-split A/C). Plus sofa bed in the living room and a couch in the basement for full 14-guest capacity. Nursery with crib and high chair serves families with infants.

Two fire pits with Adirondack chairs (one stone circle in the pines, one open-yard fire pit that seats 6), private outdoor hot tub accessible year-round 24/7, main deck with gas grill and patio dining table. String lights through the pine canopy make evenings feel cinematic. Baby gear (pack-n-play and high chair) available on-site. This property can accommodate up to 14 guests per local regulations. Infants under 2 are not included in this count, allowing up to 3 additional infants beyond the maximum guest limit.
Quiet Hours: 11pm to 7am - please be respectful of the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum during these times, especially when enjoying the outdoor amenities.
PETS - We allow dogs only (up to 3 per stay) with a fee per dog as noted in the listing description. Cats and other types of pets are not permitted. All dogs must be pre-screened and approved - please share detailed information during the booking process. Keep dogs off all furniture. You are required to clean up after them, both in the house and in the yard. Damages, stains, and excessive dog hair will result in additional charges.

Trash - All trash must be bagged. Place bags in the trash cans inside the bear box located at the street. Be sure to securely close both the trash can lids and the bear box doors. Do not leave food or trash outside—any trash left behind may result in additional fees. Trash is collected weekly.
Dishes - Wash all dishes, or fill and turn on the dishwasher when you check-out.
If you open it, close it. If you borrow it, return it. If you turn it on, turn it off. If you break it, fix it. If you use it, take care of it. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you move it, put it back.
Please respect the local habitat. Practice 'leave no trace' and 'pack it in, pack it out.'

- Drive, bike, or walk within the community. Guests can easily bike or walk to the beach, sports courts, a convenience store, and numerous restaurants. Alternatively, these amenities and shops are just a short 2-5 minute drive away. You will need a car to go anywhere outside of the community. Uber and taxi cabs are available in the area, but can have long wait times or be difficult to find.
- We strongly recommend that you travel in a AWD/4WD vehicle. We are located in the mountains and roads can be slick and poorly maintained.

Dog Fee
- $100 per dog. All dogs must be vetted. We allow a maximum of 3 dogs per booking, and we have the right to decline dogs based on breed or age. The appropriate fees will be requested once final approval has been confirmed.
Lake Harmony Estates Community Amenities Access
- 5 passes are provided for beach access (guests under 5 years of age do not need a pass)
- Additional passes can be purchased online at the Lake Harmony Estates website or at the beach
- Tennis courts & shuffleboard courts
- A $75 charge per pass will apply for replacement of any lost or damaged passes
- Access to the Lake Harmony Estates community amenities (such as the lake, beach, etc.) is managed by the HOA and is subject to change without notice. Availability, operating hours, and reservation requirements are outside of our control. We recommend checking the official community website or calling their direct office phone number for the most up-to-date information before your stay.
- Wander Home requires that all guests have their profile 100% verified. Please upload government issued ID and payment method in your account settings, as well as sending us a photo of your ID.
- Eligible refunds are subject to a 6% processing fee.
- A damage waiver fee ($40) is included for all reservations. Most channels add this upfront. Others do not have this capability, and it will be manually added to the invoice once the reservation is confirmed.
- Given the rural setting of the property, occasional sightings of ants, spiders, flying insects, and mice may occur despite our year-round pest control efforts. We strive to manage these encounters to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee that the house will be completely pest free.
- NOTE: We provide enough essential items to cover stays of about 2-3 nights. If you need more supplies during your stay, you can visit one of the following nearby stores: Lake Harmony Market, The Hub, Ahart's Market & Dollar General
- When drought, weather or other conditions present an unusual fire risk, a burn ban may be imposed by the community without prior notice.
